Ilima is polite and listens with rapt attention, engaging in the conversation happily. He'd missed Kalos, so it's wonderful to be back, and helping such nice people with their research. As much as he loves battle strategy, he knows how important breeding is, as he's stepped in the field back home for the Pokemon used in his Trial. He talks about them, the Yungoos, Alolan Rattata and Raticate, as well as the Pokemon he calls his companions: Gumshoos and Smeargle. His specialty is Normal-type.
Before he knows it, they've arrived, and once they're parked, he unbuckles and gets out of the truck, smiling to himself at the familiar sounds of a Miltank. One of his favorites! They're such sweet girls. He figures there must be Tauros, too, one he's especially familiar with. Ilima follows He Ming into the shed, looking around before returning his attention on him.
Ah, right. He's the subject. It's a bit strange, but it's just research. No harm there. He nods, taking off the sweater vest he's wearing, the rest of his clothes following suit. A bit embarrassed by the ordeal, he manages his emotions, trying to drum up small talk as he gets on the bench.
"It's not unlike visiting a doctor. I forgot to ask, am I the first participant in your research? I'd like to know just how nervous I'm allowed to be," he says, joking with the last part.
